New ways to choose
In denial that it’s ALREADY September? And there are “things” you thought would be different by this point in the year, and it’s not quite true (or not true at all)?
I hear that loud and clear. If you’re like me, we can fall into the trap of telling ourselves that there are bigger problems in the world than some “small” part of our lives that we are struggling with or wish would be different. And so we do nothing. We hunker down, tough it out and keep going.
Yes, it is true that there is enough in the news to keep our hearts broken perpetually. And yet. When we ignore our own struggles, it is a detriment to us, and to the wider world.
It’s my belief that when we are in alignment with ourselves – when we put in the time and effort to take care of ourselves, adopt patterns and ways of being that serve us, then not only can we enjoy our lives more, but we can offer our gifts and our energy to change things for the better in deeper ways.
